AuthorsWiki : Tell us something about your first book.
Manoranjan Ramesh : In a world where corporate offices hum like industrial hives, millions of workers buzz through their days, contributing tirelessly to build empires of innovation, wealth, and progress. Yet, just like honeybees whose golden nectar is harvested by others, these workers often find the true fruits of their labor slipping through their fingers.
This thought-provoking book draws a powerful parallel between nature’s most industrious creatures and the modern workforce. It reveals how countless employees are caught in a system that promises growth but often delivers exploitation—where profits rise, but personal fulfillment, recognition, and fair rewards remain elusive.
Through insightful storytelling, sharp observations, and creative metaphors, The Honey Trap explores the hidden costs of corporate life, from burnout and mental fatigue to the silent inequalities within productivity-driven work environments. More importantly, the book offers a vision for change by sharing practical strategies and imaginative ideas to help individuals break free from the cycle and reclaim ownership of their time, talent, and rewards.
Whether you’re an employee questioning your role, a leader seeking better ways to build inclusive workplaces, or someone intrigued by the intersection of nature and business, this book challenges readers to rethink the modern work hive and inspires them to design a more balanced and fulfilling professional life.
AuthorsWiki : Would you like to tell us about your published books?
Manoranjan Ramesh : Yes, I would love to. My published book focuses on the realities of corporate and professional life, highlighting the challenges faced by employees who invest years of effort without proportional rewards. Through relatable examples and metaphors drawn from nature, the book encourages readers to reflect on their careers, question existing systems, and explore healthier and more sustainable approaches to work and success.
AuthorsWiki : Where did you get the inspiration for publishing books?
Manoranjan Ramesh : The inspiration came from nearly 12 years of firsthand experience in high-pressure work environments and closely observing the job market. Seeing talented individuals struggle with stress, burnout, and lack of recognition made me realize that many of these stories remain untold. Writing became a way to express these realities and offer guidance to those navigating similar challenges.
AuthorsWiki : How do you manage your time to write a book?
Manoranjan Ramesh : I primarily dedicate my weekends to writing. Weekdays are often consumed by professional responsibilities, so weekends give me the mental space to reflect, organize my thoughts, and focus deeply on writing without distractions.
AuthorsWiki : What is your favorite writing method — the one in which you write the most?
Manoranjan Ramesh : I prefer to pen down ideas whenever they pop into my mind. Inspiration doesn’t follow a schedule, so I make it a habit to note down thoughts, concepts, and observations immediately. Later, I refine and connect these ideas into structured chapters.
AuthorsWiki : When did you start writing, and how did your interest in writing begin?
Manoranjan Ramesh : I started writing about five years ago. Initially, it began as a way to release stress and organize my thoughts, but over time, I realized that my experiences and observations could help others. That realization gradually turned writing into a serious passion.
AuthorsWiki : Is there any special achievement in your life that you would like to share with us and your readers?
Manoranjan Ramesh : One of my proudest achievements is that my book became available at BAM (Books-A-Million) stores in the USA and reached readers across 12 countries. Seeing my work recognized and accessible on an international platform was a deeply rewarding moment.
AuthorsWiki : Are you planning to write or publish a book in the present or future?
Manoranjan Ramesh : Yes, absolutely. I plan to continue writing and publishing books in the future. There are many ideas and experiences I want to explore further, especially around work culture, personal growth, and real-world learning.
AuthorsWiki : Would you like to give a message to your readers and fans?
Manoranjan Ramesh : Yes. If you aspire to become a business owner or entrepreneur, I strongly recommend spending at least one year in sales. Sales teaches invaluable life skills—how to communicate effectively, understand people, handle rejection, and most importantly, how to sell your vision. These skills form the foundation of any successful business and will benefit you throughout your entrepreneurial journey.
AuthorsWiki : Every writer has their own ideal. Do you also have an ideal writer? And what are your favorite books that you always want to read?
Manoranjan Ramesh : Yes, my ideal writer is Robert T. Kiyosaki. His work has deeply influenced my perspective on money, work, and financial independence. I often revisit his books because they challenge conventional thinking and encourage readers to take control of their financial and professional lives.
AuthorsWiki : Apart from writing, what are your other hobbies that you enjoy in your free time?
Manoranjan Ramesh : Apart from writing, I enjoy playing and following football, as it helps me relax and stay active. I also have a keen interest in the stock market, where I enjoy analyzing trends and learning about investments and financial strategies.
AuthorsWiki : Would you like to remain in the writing world in the future as well?
Manoranjan Ramesh : Yes, definitely. Writing has become an integral part of my life, and I intend to remain connected to the writing world, continuing to share ideas, stories, and insights with readers in the years to come.
