Advertisement & Sponsorship Policy

Last Updated: August 22, 2026

At AuthorsWiki, we may offer advertising, sponsorship, promotional placements, and other commercial opportunities to authors, publishers, publishing companies, brands, and relevant organizations. This policy explains how paid and sponsored content is handled and how we aim to maintain transparency between commercial services and independent editorial content.

1. Advertising & Sponsorship

AuthorsWiki may provide commercial opportunities such as sponsored articles, featured profiles, promotional placements, publisher or author promotions, campaign placements, and other advertising services where applicable.

The availability, format, placement, duration, and requirements of a commercial service may vary depending on the nature of the campaign and the applicable agreement.

2. Clear Disclosure

AuthorsWiki aims to clearly distinguish paid or sponsored content from independent editorial content.

Where appropriate, sponsored or commercially supported content may be identified using labels such as Sponsored, Promoted, Advertisement, or another clear designation so that readers can understand the commercial nature of the content.

Paid placement should not be presented in a way that intentionally misleads readers into believing that it is independent editorial coverage.

3. Editorial Independence

Payment for advertising, sponsorship, promotional placement, or other commercial services does not guarantee favorable editorial coverage or a particular editorial conclusion.

Commercial arrangements do not automatically influence independent articles, book reviews, interviews, news coverage, or editorial recommendations. AuthorsWiki may reject, modify, or remove content that does not meet applicable editorial standards, regardless of whether payment has been made.

4. What Payment Does Not Guarantee

Unless expressly stated in a specific commercial agreement, payment does not guarantee:

  • A positive book review
  • Favorable editorial coverage
  • A particular search-engine ranking
  • Permanent publication
  • Inclusion in independent editorial recommendations
  • Editorial approval of inaccurate or unsupported claims
  • Guaranteed traffic, engagement, or visibility

AuthorsWiki does not sell guaranteed search-engine rankings or guaranteed editorial outcomes.

5. Sponsored Articles & Promotional Content

Sponsored articles and promotional content may contain information supplied by the sponsoring author, publisher, company, or organization.

Sponsors are responsible for ensuring that information supplied for publication is accurate, lawful, and appropriately supported. AuthorsWiki may review sponsored material for clarity, relevance, misleading claims, originality, and compliance with applicable editorial standards.

Commercial content may be edited, declined, or requested for revision where necessary.

6. Advertising Standards

Advertising and sponsored material should be truthful, clear, and relevant to the audience of AuthorsWiki.

We may decline or remove advertisements or sponsored material that we reasonably believe contains misleading claims, deceptive practices, unlawful material, fabricated information, unauthorized intellectual property, or content that conflicts with our applicable policies or standards.

Acceptance of an advertisement or sponsorship should not be interpreted as an endorsement of the advertiser, product, service, author, publisher, or organization by AuthorsWiki.

7. Author & Publisher Promotions

Authors and publishers may use AuthorsWiki’s commercial services to promote books, profiles, publishing activities, events, announcements, or other relevant material.

Promotional services are separate from independent editorial coverage. Purchasing a promotional service does not guarantee that an author, publisher, book, or company will receive favorable treatment in independently produced editorial content.

8. Sponsored Book Reviews

AuthorsWiki may receive books, advance copies, promotional materials, or other review-related materials from authors, publishers, or publicists.

A complimentary or advance copy does not automatically make a review sponsored and does not guarantee a positive review.

Where a review involves a paid sponsorship or other commercial arrangement that could materially affect how readers understand the content, an appropriate disclosure may be provided.

Further information about our review standards is available in our Book Review Policy.

9. Advertiser & Sponsor Responsibilities

Advertisers and sponsors are responsible for ensuring that the information, claims, images, trademarks, and other materials they provide to AuthorsWiki are accurate and that they have the necessary rights or authorization to use them.

Sponsors should not knowingly provide misleading, fraudulent, defamatory, infringing, or unlawful material.

AuthorsWiki may request clarification, supporting documentation, or revisions before accepting or publishing commercial content.

10. Conflicts of Interest

AuthorsWiki aims to identify and appropriately manage material commercial relationships that could affect the perceived independence of content.

Where a commercial relationship is relevant to a reader’s understanding of an article, review, feature, or other content, an appropriate disclosure may be provided.

11. Placement & Visibility

Paid placement may affect where promotional content appears on AuthorsWiki, subject to the terms of the applicable commercial service.

However, paid placement does not mean that the content will receive a particular position in independent editorial rankings, recommendations, search results, or other editorial decisions.

12. Content Changes & Removal

AuthorsWiki may modify, restrict, unpublish, or remove sponsored or advertising content when it violates this policy, contains materially inaccurate or misleading information, infringes intellectual-property rights, becomes outdated, or otherwise fails to meet applicable requirements.

Where appropriate, sponsors may be contacted before significant changes are made, except where immediate action is reasonably necessary.

13. No Endorsement

The presence of an advertisement, sponsored article, featured profile, or promotional placement on AuthorsWiki does not necessarily mean that AuthorsWiki endorses the advertiser, author, publisher, company, product, service, or claim.

Readers should evaluate commercial claims independently and consider the applicable disclosure associated with the content.

14. Transparency & Reader Trust

AuthorsWiki believes that commercial relationships should be handled transparently. Our objective is to provide legitimate promotional opportunities while maintaining a clear distinction between advertising and independent editorial content.

We aim to ensure that commercial services support the AuthorsWiki platform without compromising the trust of our readers or the independence of our editorial standards.
