Interview with Priy Yuvraj from India: From Belief to Unlearning with The Infinite Unlearning

0

At AuthorsWiki, we are delighted to connect with Priy Yuvraj, a visionary author from India whose philosophical writing explores human consciousness, rational inquiry, inner transformation, and the process of questioning deeply held beliefs.

From an early curiosity about politics and philosophy, Priy Yuvraj was drawn towards the works of Jiddu Krishnamurti and other thinkers whose ideas helped shape his understanding of life and consciousness. Writing gradually became a natural form of expression—a way to explore and share what he discovered through observation, reflection, and inner inquiry.

Alongside his writing, Priy is pursuing higher education and actively contributes to the work of an NGO foundation. He has been involved in developing policies, managing initiatives, and empowering volunteers through programmes focused on environmental conservation, women’s empowerment, and inclusive education.

Meditation, philosophical discussions, reading, and time spent in nature form an important part of his personal journey. These experiences have contributed to the ideas explored in his books, including The Art of Inner Revolution, Love: Not a Bond, But Consciousness, and The Infinite Unlearning: Awakening the Mind beyond Belief.

In this exclusive AuthorsWiki interview, Priy Yuvraj discusses his approach to writing, his fascination with consciousness and rational inquiry, the inspiration behind The Infinite Unlearning, his social work, literary influences, and his vision for future writing.

AuthorsWiki: Apart from writing, what is your occupation for livelihood?

Priy Yuvraj: Writing is my passion and a way to express my thoughts, but it is not my profession. I am currently a student pursuing my higher education, and I also dedicate my time to looking after our NGO foundation. My focus is on my studies and social welfare, while writing remains the creative space where I share my insights and reflections.

AuthorsWiki: Tell us something about your first book.

Priy Yuvraj: My book, The Infinite Unlearning, is an invitation to move beyond the layers of borrowed beliefs and societal conditioning that we often mistake for our own truth. It is not about adding more information to your mind, but about the “infinite” process of shedding what never truly belonged to you—the fears, labels, and habits taught by your surroundings and lifestyle.

I wrote this to serve as a mirror, helping you transition from a “believer” to a “witness” by using a rational and pragmatic approach to observe reality as it is. By letting go of these unnecessary burdens without guilt, you create space for a rebirth of perception, where you can finally see life with your own eyes, free from the weight of the “already known.”

AuthorsWiki: Would you like to tell us about your published books?

Priy Yuvraj: I have authored several philosophical works focused on inner transformation, including The Art of Inner Revolution, The Infinite Unlearning, and Love: Not a Bond, But Consciousness. My writing focuses on helping people strip away borrowed beliefs and societal labels to move from being a “believer” to a rational “witness” of their own lives.

For instance, instead of defining love, I challenge readers to see what it is not and whether their perceptions are truly love or simply titles used to justify behaviour. These works are designed to help readers shed unnecessary burdens and are available globally in digital, physical, and audiobook formats on platforms such as Amazon, Apple Books, Audible, and Spotify.

AuthorsWiki: Where did you get the inspiration for publishing books?

Priy Yuvraj: I realised that while social media is fleeting, physical and digital books allow people to truly possess and deeply engage with these thoughts at their own pace and convenience.

AuthorsWiki: How do you manage your time to write a book?

Priy Yuvraj: As writing isn’t my primary profession but a passion, I don’t follow a rigid schedule. Instead, I prioritise my higher education and NGO work while dedicating my creative energy to writing when thoughts flow naturally.

I manage my time by integrating reflection into my daily life—using meditation and reading to refine my insights—so that when I do sit down with a rough paper to connect the flow, the process is an efficient expression of a mind that is already clear and prepared.

AuthorsWiki: What is your favourite writing method—the one in which you write the most?

Priy Yuvraj: Since writing is a passion rather than a pressure for me, my favourite method is rooted in spontaneity and clarity. I don’t follow a rigid professional routine. Instead, I allow my thoughts to mature through meditation and my daily studies.

When an insight feels complete, I start with a rough paper to map out the connections and ensure the flow is relatable to the reader. Once the structure is clear, I move to digital platforms to finalise the work, ensuring it is ready for readers across different formats, from eBooks to audiobooks.

AuthorsWiki: When did you start writing, and how did your interest in writing begin?

Priy Yuvraj: I began writing as a way to express my thoughts rather than as a career choice, finding my inspiration when I realised that books and audiobooks offer a more focused, lasting way for people to engage with ideas than social media.

AuthorsWiki: Is there any special achievement in your life that you would like to share with us and your readers?

Priy Yuvraj: Beyond my academic pursuits, a truly special achievement for me has been establishing and leading our NGO foundation, which works towards the empowerment and inclusion of women and rural communities. It is deeply fulfilling to bridge the gap in these areas by fostering awareness and helping individuals transition towards being rational beings, free from inherited conditioning.

Seeing this practical social welfare flourish alongside the global reach of my books—now available on platforms such as Amazon and Spotify—represents the harmonious balance of my passion for both philosophical inquiry and meaningful, real-world action.

AuthorsWiki: Are you planning to write or publish a book in the present or future?

Priy Yuvraj: Currently, I am not working on any new books, but I do have two significant projects planned for the future: a work titled Sweetness of Your Life and a novel titled June-November Corridor. If these or any other projects come to light in the upcoming days, I will certainly return to share the details. For now, my focus remains on my recent publications and my studies.

AuthorsWiki: Would you like to give a message to your readers and fans?

Priy Yuvraj: My message to you is simple: don’t just be a “believer” who follows taught patterns and inherited conditioning, but strive to be a “witness” of your own mind through rational inquiry and meditation. True transformation happens when you start to unlearn the unnecessary burdens of your surroundings, creating the space to see life through your own eyes and live as a conscious, rational being. By questioning what you’ve been told—even about things as fundamental as love—you can move towards a life of genuine clarity and peace.

AuthorsWiki: Every writer has their own ideal. Do you also have an ideal writer? And what are your favourite books that you always want to read?

Priy Yuvraj: I don’t follow a specific “ideal writer”, as my focus is on the direct, rational analysis of reality rather than a person’s style. However, I deeply respect Jiddu Krishnamurti. His works, such as Freedom from the Known and Think on These Things, are essential for understanding how to see beyond illusions. Alongside these, I appreciate books like Ikigai for their practical approach to balance, and I am always drawn to literature that encourages “unlearning” and challenges societal conditioning.

AuthorsWiki: Apart from writing, what are your other hobbies that you enjoy in your free time?

Priy Yuvraj: In my free time, I find great joy in meditation, which allows me to maintain the mental clarity necessary for both my writing and my studies. I also dedicate myself to reading and analysing content, always looking for ways to rationalise my thoughts and deepen my understanding of the world.

AuthorsWiki: Would you like to remain in the writing world in the future as well?

Priy Yuvraj: Writing is not just a profession for me, but a medium through which I share my observations of life and consciousness. I definitely plan to remain in the writing world in the future, as it allows me to document the ongoing process of rational inquiry and inner transformation. Whether through philosophical works or my upcoming novel, I will continue to use the written word as a tool to help others see beyond illusions and move towards a more aware and conscious way of living.
