Harshit began his writing journey at a remarkably young age. His first book, Sanatan Samhita, is a 785-page work exploring Indian history, Indian culture, and Sanatan Dharm. He describes the book as his dream project and the result of two years of dedicated effort.
His second book, Hindvi Swarajya, focuses on Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and Hindvi Swarajya, while also providing information about historical figures including Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, Rajaram Maharaj, and Shahu Maharaj. The book is available in Hindi and Marathi and is available through platforms including Amazon and Flipkart.
Alongside his writing, Harshit is a college student who also teaches school students for his livelihood. He is currently working on his third history book, Hindutva: Bharat Ka Rastritva, which explores Hindutva and the history of Bharat.
In this conversation with AuthorsWiki, Harshit Manoj Jagtap talks about his early beginning as a writer, his passion for history, the discipline behind his writing routine, his literary influences, and his plans for continuing his journey as an author.
AuthorsWiki: Apart from writing, what is your occupation for livelihood?
Harshit Manoj Jagtap: I am a student studying in college, and apart from that, I teach school students for my livelihood.
AuthorsWiki: Tell us something about your first book.
Harshit Manoj Jagtap: My first book, Sanatan Samhita, was my dream project and the result of two years of hard work. I devoted those two years completely to my book. My first book is based on history and Indian culture, and I really enjoyed writing it.
AuthorsWiki: Would you like to tell us about your published books?
Harshit Manoj Jagtap: I have published two books, Sanatan Samhita and Hindvi Swarajya, and I am very happy to have published them. You can read my books on Amazon or Flipkart.
AuthorsWiki: Where did you get the inspiration for publishing books?
Harshit Manoj Jagtap: I was inspired by the great Vinayak Damodar Savarkar and Vikram Sampath. Their writing skills inspired me to write my own books.
AuthorsWiki: How do you manage your time to write a book?
Harshit Manoj Jagtap: Writing is my favourite job, and because of that, I manage my time to write books. Frankly speaking, I managed to spend 5–6 hours daily writing my book.
AuthorsWiki: What is your favorite writing method—the one in which you write the most?
Harshit Manoj Jagtap: My writing method is to keep things simple and structured so that readers can connect with them easily without misunderstanding. I also prefer using simple words so that people can easily understand my thoughts.
AuthorsWiki: When did you start writing, and how did your interest in writing begin?
Harshit Manoj Jagtap: I started writing when I began researching for my book. At that time, I was very young to do so, and, to be frank, I started writing my first book when I was 13 years old. After that, I gained experience in writing, and I am enjoying it.
AuthorsWiki: Is there any special achievement in your life that you would like to share with us and your readers?
Harshit Manoj Jagtap: I started writing books when I was 13 years old, so that can be an achievement. But my greatest achievement is getting praised by my parents when I published my book.
AuthorsWiki: Are you planning to write or publish a book in the present or future?
Harshit Manoj Jagtap: I am currently writing my new book, Hindutva: Bharat Ka Rastritva, which is based on Hindutva and a brief history of Bharat.
AuthorsWiki: Would you like to give a message to your readers and fans?
Harshit Manoj Jagtap: My message to my readers is that you should never be afraid to fail because when we fail, we get another perspective on living, and it helps us become successful. So, never be afraid of failing. You can fail, but next time, fail again, learn again, and after that, learn better.
AuthorsWiki: Every writer has their own ideal. Do you also have an ideal writer? And what are your favorite books that you always want to read?
Harshit Manoj Jagtap: My ideal in writing is Vinayak Damodar Savarkar Ji, and I love his way of writing. His frankness in expressing his views is something I admire. My favourite books are Bhagavad Gita and The Beautiful Tree.
AuthorsWiki: Apart from writing, what are your other hobbies that you enjoy in your free time?
Harshit Manoj Jagtap: I have other hobbies like drawing, poetry, and giving speeches.
AuthorsWiki: Would you like to remain in the writing world in the future as well?
Harshit Manoj Jagtap: Definitely, yes. I like writing so much that it gives me the motivation to write more. Hence, I will definitely continue writing in the future.
