Comment Policy

We welcome comments, opinions, questions, and constructive discussions from our readers, authors, and visitors. Comments can help create meaningful conversations around books, authors, publishing, literature, and related topics.

To maintain a respectful, useful, and welcoming community, all comments submitted on this website are subject to moderation.

1. Be Respectful

Please communicate respectfully with other readers, authors, publishers, reviewers, and members of our community. Comments containing personal attacks, harassment, threats, intimidation, abusive language, or deliberately offensive remarks may be removed.

2. Hate Speech and Discrimination

We do not permit comments that promote hatred, discrimination, or hostility against individuals or groups based on characteristics such as religion, caste, race, ethnicity, nationality, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or other protected or personal characteristics.

3. Spam and Promotional Content

Comments should contribute meaningfully to the discussion.

We may remove comments that contain:

– Unsolicited advertisements or promotional messages
– Excessive self-promotion
– Promotional or affiliate links
– Repeated or irrelevant messages
– Commercial solicitations
– SEO-focused keyword stuffing
– Comments submitted primarily to promote a website, product, service, book, business, or social media account

4. Use of Names

Please use your real name or a genuine, relevant display name when commenting. Names containing promotional keywords, website URLs, advertisements, or misleading identities may be rejected.

5. Stay Relevant

Please keep comments relevant to the article, book, author, interview, review, or discussion where the comment is posted. Completely unrelated or off-topic comments may be removed.

6. Constructive Criticism Is Welcome

We encourage honest opinions, including disagreement and constructive criticism. You do not have to agree with an author, reviewer, publisher, or another commenter. However, criticism should focus on the book, content, ideas, review, or subject being discussed rather than attacking an individual.

7. Misleading or Unverified Claims

Comments should not intentionally present false, deceptive, or misleading information as fact. Where appropriate, commenters may be asked to provide reliable sources or supporting information for significant factual claims.

Differences of opinion, interpretation, or personal experience will not by themselves be treated as false information.

8. Personal and Private Information

Please do not post private or sensitive information about yourself or another person without appropriate consent. This includes phone numbers, residential addresses, private email addresses, financial information, passwords, account credentials, or other personal information.

9. Impersonation

Comments must not be submitted while falsely claiming to represent another person, author, publisher, organisation, business, or other entity.

10. Copyright and Intellectual Property

Please do not post copyrighted material that you do not have permission to reproduce. Comments containing substantial portions of books, articles, poems, lyrics, or other copyrighted works may be removed where appropriate.

11. Links and External Websites

Comments containing links may be subject to additional moderation. We may remove links that are irrelevant, unsafe, misleading, promotional, or primarily intended to drive traffic to another website.

12. Reviews, Opinions, and Disagreements

We welcome genuine reader opinions, reviews, and differing viewpoints, including negative opinions, provided they are expressed respectfully and relate to the subject being discussed.

A difference of opinion alone is not a reason for removing a comment. However, comments containing harassment, hate speech, threats, personal attacks, spam, impersonation, or intentionally misleading claims may be moderated.

13. Personal or Business Disputes

AuthorsWiki is not intended to be used to resolve personal, commercial, contractual, publishing, payment, or other disputes between individuals, authors, publishers, businesses, or organisations.

Comments primarily intended to accuse, threaten, pressure, or publicly dispute another person or organisation may be removed where they are not relevant to the discussion or cannot be reasonably verified.

14. Comment Moderation

All comments may be reviewed before or after publication.

We reserve the right to:

– Approve, reject, or remove comments
– Remove comments that violate this policy
– Restrict or disable commenting privileges for users who repeatedly violate this policy
– Remove comments without prior notice where reasonably necessary

We may also use automated moderation or spam-detection systems to help identify potentially inappropriate or unwanted comments.

Moderation does not necessarily mean that AuthorsWiki agrees or disagrees with the views expressed in a comment.

15. Email Addresses

When you submit a comment, your email address will not be publicly displayed with your comment. Please do not include your email address, phone number, or other private contact information in the publicly visible portion of your comment.

16. Repeated Violations

Users who repeatedly submit comments that violate this policy may have their commenting privileges restricted or disabled.

In cases involving spam, abuse, automated submissions, or repeated violations, additional technical measures may also be applied to prevent further submissions.

17. No Guarantee of Publication

Submitting a comment does not guarantee that the comment will be published. Comments may be held for moderation, rejected, as permitted under this policy, or removed after publication.

18. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Comment Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our website, community standards, moderation practices, or applicable requirements. Any updated version will be published on this page.

Our Goal

Our goal is to encourage open, respectful, and meaningful conversations. We believe readers should be able to express their genuine opinions—including disagreement and constructive criticism—while maintaining a safe, informative, and supportive environment for everyone.
