AuthorsWiki: Apart from writing, what is your occupation for livelihood?
Aquah Goddess: I currently help manage our family store, which keeps me busy and grounded in the day-to-day rhythms of life in Lagos. It provides a nice balance to the more introspective nature of my writing.
AuthorsWiki: Tell us something about your first book.
Aquah Goddess: My journey into publishing really began with my debut work, the Luna’s Secret series, a werewolf romance that showcases strong heroines, love, drama, intrigue, and magic. It was the project that allowed me to fully step into storytelling, explore emotional depth, and build the foundation of my voice as an author.
Through it, I discovered my passion for blending romance with supernatural and psychological elements in a way that feels both immersive and emotionally intense.
AuthorsWiki: Would you like to tell us about your published books?
Aquah Goddess: I have authored several titles, including His Submissive Kitten, Her Father’s Wife, Adamma and the Royal Python, and Oma Won’t Listen. I am also very excited about my latest project: the first volume of my paranormal romance trilogy, My Possessive Incubus Demon.
I’ve also recently translated my novel Luna’s Secret: Forbidden Love into Spanish (El Secreto de Luna: Amor Prohibido).
AuthorsWiki: Where did you get the inspiration for publishing books?
Aquah Goddess: It came from a lifelong love of stories. Having been a “book devourer” since childhood, I eventually reached a point where I had stories of my own that needed to be told. Writing is my way of processing the world and expressing the emotions I can’t always articulate in everyday conversation.
AuthorsWiki: How do you manage your time to write a book?
Aquah Goddess: I am very disciplined with my creative process. Because I am an introvert, I thrive in the stillness of the night. I often deactivate my social media to achieve deep character immersion, allowing me to focus entirely on the manuscript.
AuthorsWiki: What is your favorite writing method—the one in which you write the most?
Aquah Goddess: My “method writing” process is essential to me. I prefer writing at midnight when the world is quiet. This isolation allows me to step fully into my characters’ shoes and explore those deep, complex emotions without distraction.
AuthorsWiki: When did you start writing, and how did your interest in writing begin?
Aquah Goddess: I started writing seriously at 16. My fascination with books began much earlier, around age six or seven, thanks to my mother. She would read to me but intentionally stop mid-story, forcing me to finish the books myself. That was the spark that turned me into a lifelong reader and, eventually, a writer.
AuthorsWiki: Is there any special achievement in your life that you would like to share with us and your readers?
Aquah Goddess: Beyond my writing journey, I recently passed my Nigerian driving license examination, which was a proud personal milestone.
AuthorsWiki: Are you planning to write or publish a book in the present or future?
Aquah Goddess: Absolutely. I am currently focused on the remaining volumes of my paranormal romance trilogy, My Possessive Incubus Demon, and I’m always sketching out new ideas for future dark fantasy projects.
AuthorsWiki: Would you like to give a message to your readers and fans?
Aquah Goddess: Thank you for stepping into the shadows with me. Your support means the world to me. If you’ve ever felt like an outsider or found comfort in a story, know that you aren’t alone—we are all just trying to navigate the complexities of being human.
AuthorsWiki: Every writer has their own ideal. Do you also have an ideal writer? And what are your favorite books that you always want to read?
Aquah Goddess: My style is shaped by the suspense of Sidney Sheldon, the emotional depth of Francine Rivers, the imaginative spirit of Enid Blyton, and the captivating character work of Nora Roberts. I always find myself returning to their books for inspiration.
AuthorsWiki: Apart from writing, what are your other hobbies that you enjoy in your free time?
Aquah Goddess: I am a huge cat lover—my tabby cat is my constant companion. I also enjoy skincare science research, climbing stairs for exercise, and I am currently trying to learn a new language.
AuthorsWiki: Would you like to remain in the writing world in the future as well?
Aquah Goddess: Yes, writing is at the core of who I am. Whether I am writing fiction or applying my background in biochemistry to future dermo-cosmetic endeavors, storytelling will always be my primary creative outlet.
