AuthorsWiki : When did you first realize you wanted to be a writer?
Renuka K. P. : During the period of the stressful pandemic and lockdown, I got a lot of experience and the time to think about a lot of social and cultural issues prevailing here.
AuthorsWiki : Would you like to tell about your published books, so that readers can know more about your books?
Renuka K. P. : Some of my books have been published so far. Whose details are as follows-
- A collection of Fictional Stories
- Only Once Again (Stories)
- My Selected Stories in Malayalam
- Chanakyasuthrani (An Anthology, My Story is ‘ A Wedding Story’)
- Sweet Sixteen (An anthology, My Story is ‘The Blue Sea’)
- Emma (A Character Sketch with Tiny Tale)
AuthorsWiki : How did you become inspired to publish the book or someone inspired you?
Renuka K. P. : When I completed more stories, I wanted to publish it.
AuthorsWiki : Would you like to share your experience from writing to publishing process with the readers?
Renuka K. P. : I started my writing on Pratilipi a self-publication platform.
AuthorsWiki : What is your first created literary work and how did you enter the literary world, tell about it?
Renuka K. P. : I wrote my first story under my pen name for the competition on ‘Pratilipi ‘ an online platform. Then I got a ‘Prasasthipathram’ as one of the best authors from them for my story ‘Amy’. It was my first inspiration for the literary journey.

AuthorsWiki : In the literary journey so far, any such literary work has been liked the most by the readers, friends, and family members?
Renuka K. P. : Certain comments for some stories in Pratilipi have inspired me a little. Though I have received only limited comments, no negative comment has not been received yet.
AuthorsWiki : Who among your friends or family or others gave you the most support during the writing of the book?
Renuka K. P. : No one. I started it as a time pass only after I retired from govt service.
AuthorsWiki : How many achievements / honors have you received from the literary world so far? Would you like to give their information?
Renuka K. P. : Till now I have received many honors and achievements, some of which are as follows-
- A Prasathipathram from Pratilipi.
- Certificate of Appreciation by India Writing Project.
- Literary Award conferred by Suenos by Ukiyoto as emerging Author of the year.
- Rabindra Ratna Puraskar for literature.
- Selected as Author of the Year by Suenos by Ukiyoto International Children’s Awards at BICF 2024.
AuthorsWiki : In which genre do you do the most writing? And is it easy to write in this genre?
Renuka K. P. : Short story is easy to write.
AuthorsWiki : How do you manage time for literary writing?
Renuka K. P. : It is very struggling for me.
AuthorsWiki : Where do you get inspiration for your literary works?
Renuka K. P. : From my childhood onwards I had the habit of reading and was able to read a lot of books by famous writers in Malayalam and also translations from Russian and Bengali literature. There was a good library near my home run by a great man Sri. Kuttikrishnan Nair and had read almost all child magazines including Ambili Ammavan, Chandamama, etc. I remember him with immense gratitude on this occasion.
AuthorsWiki : What is a special achievement or memorable event in your life that you would like to share with our readers?
Renuka K. P. : All the above achievements are obtained only after retirement at the age of 56. At that time I had already gathered a lot of experiences from society, family, relatives, and also as an employee. All these helped me a lot in this literary journey after my retirement. Good my achievement is a message to all, especially to elders.
AuthorsWiki : Every writer has his own ideal, do you also have an ideal writer? And your favorite books that you always love to read?
Renuka K. P. : Madhavikutty, Pottekkadu, Kuttikrishnamarar, M. T. Vasudevan Nair, Rajalakshmi…. such a lot. Leo Tolstoy, Destheyovaski, Asapoornadevi, Bankimchandra Chatterji, Tagore, such a lot ….After my school days I had not read much till retirement. So, I was not able to read much from the new generation.
AuthorsWiki : Would you like to say something on the rise of Indian literature?
Renuka K. P. : At present, I do have not much awareness to assess the present situation.
AuthorsWiki : Apart from being a writer, what other hobbies do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
Renuka K. P. : First of all, I am a YouTuber and I have my own channels uploaded with many videos. Now I am active on FB like a blogger. Let me say sadly when I began to concentrate on writing more, I can not find time to continue on YouTube.
AuthorsWiki : Are you planning to write or publish any book in future? If yes! So would you like to tell on which topic or theme the next book will be based?
Renuka K. P. : I have already started to write a long story based on the social, economic, and cultural background of our society emphasizing the need for positive thought to create a better life. I think It may take time to complete due to some other busyness.

AuthorsWiki : What advice would you give to new writers coming in the world of literature?
Renuka K. P. : Do not make any emotional pollution in the name of freedom to expression and readability. Pen is a weapon with power to make renaissance. Nowadays a lot of efforts are seen taken by several organizations like Brahmakumaris Eswareeya Viswavidyalayam for transformation from this world of sorrow.

Renuka K. P. : Yes, as far as possible.
AuthorsWiki : This is the last question, what message do you want to give to your dear well wishers, readers and fans?
Renuka K. P. : To be frank with me to express their feelings that will make me more creative, thank you.
