Haniya Khushnood : Hi I’m Haniya Khushnood. I’m 14 years old and I live in Bihar. I was born in Saudi Arabia and studied good number of years there before i shifted to India.
AuthorsWiki : Your first book has been published recently, give us information about it, so that readers can know more about your book?
Haniya Khushnood : So my first book, namely “I Just Imagined” is a fictional, teen romance novel about a girl named Sage Everitt who has been confused between her imagination and reality.
AuthorsWiki : How did you get inspired to write such a big novel at such a young age?
Haniya Khushnood : I was 5 years old when i started writing stories and poems. Since then I’ve always thought that Literature is a very fascinating thing. The way writers describe so many things on just a piece of paper is beautiful. The thing that inspires me the most is the beauty of English Literature.
AuthorsWiki : Your book ‘I Just Imagined’ has been published recently, give information about it, so that readers can know more about your book?
Haniya Khushnood : My book “I Just Imagined” is a novel for pre-teens, teens or above, having Sage Everitt as the protagonist. The story is based on fiction, including friendship betrayals, mixed emotions, broken hearts and more.
AuthorsWiki : How did you become inspired to publish the book or someone inspired you?
Haniya Khushnood : I’ve never had a specific idol to my writing but ever since i have been writing poems, I’ve recieved tons of compliments , which really inspires me to write more.
AuthorsWiki : Would you like to share your experience from writing to publishing process with the readers?
Haniya Khushnood : When I was planning out the novel, it was a very tough time. Ideas were just flooding in my mind while i wrote everything down on my notebook, but I had no clue how to arrange it. I had so many questions and was so confused but I just let it be like that. It was a messy journey and took 4 months for me to write it, and one extra month to plan it out.
AuthorsWiki : What is your first created literary work and how did you enter the literary world, tell about it?
Haniya Khushnood : My first ever literary work was of when i was 5 years old, i wrote a poem about the sky and the nature. Though i was too shy to share it with anyone, as i look back at it, it was one of my adorable work of literary. I got distracted many years and left writing but i started reading classic literature and new fictional novels, and got back into the world of literary.
AuthorsWiki : In the literary journey so far, any such literary work has been liked the most by the readers, friends and family members?
Haniya Khushnood : One of my literary works was a poem named “Flowers without Petals” that was portrayed on my school magazine and was liked by many students in my school.
AuthorsWiki : Who among your friends or family or others gave you the most support during the writing of the book?
Haniya Khushnood : According to me, it’s my parents who supported my journey of writing the most.
AuthorsWiki : How many achievements / honors have you received from the literary world so far? Would you like to give their information?
Haniya Khushnood : I have been praised for my writing by people around and also getting my poem on my school magazine. But I consider “I Just Imagined” my first step into the world of literature.
AuthorsWiki : In which genre do you do the most writing? And is it easy to write in this genre?
Haniya Khushnood : I think writing fantasy is very interesting for me. I can think of a whole fantasy world and a big series of book of fantasy but, for me it’s a little hard to write it. Fantasy has always been an inspiration for me but personally, i like reading teen-romance and thriller the most. Specially the ones including school stories.
AuthorsWiki : How do you manage time for literary writing?
Haniya Khushnood : Making time for both writing and school was pretty hard but just 30 mins a day was easy for me to take out. I tried writing 1000 words a day, which i wasn’t very disciplined with but it was a good way to be organised.
AuthorsWiki : Where do you get inspiration for your literary works?
Haniya Khushnood : Pinterest is a big green flag for writers. The amount of help i got from there is insane. It has unlimited ideas for writing.
AuthorsWiki : What is a special achievement or memorable event in your life that you would like to share with our readers?
Haniya Khushnood : One of my special achievements in the world of writing was my first and last achievement, my poem being presented on my school magazine.
AuthorsWiki : Every writer has his own ideal, do you also have an ideal writer? And your favorite books that you always love to read?
Haniya Khushnood : I’ve always loved reading Ruskin Bond. His poems and stories always seemed fascinating for me. Recently my favourite book is November 9 by Colleen Hoover.
AuthorsWiki : Would you like to say something on the rise of Indian literature?
Haniya Khushnood : The way Indian literature has been rising is really engrossing.
AuthorsWiki : Apart from being a writer, what other hobbies do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
Haniya Khushnood : Apart from writing, I’m really into sketching and learning new languages. I’ve been wanting to learn Spanish and Korean for so long, it’s just that its hard to find time.
AuthorsWiki : Are you planning to write or publish any book in future? If yes! So would you like to tell on which topic or theme the next book will be based?
Haniya Khushnood : Yes, I am writing another novel namely “Enchanted”. This book is really interesting to me because it’s theme is a song named “Enchanted” by Taylor Swift. It’s a complete fantasy. A story of a pirate princess and a commoner.
AuthorsWiki : What advice would you give to new writers coming in the world of literature?
Haniya Khushnood : The one thing that i want to share with the new writers is that never dump your first draft of writing. Everyone takes their first step and some even mess up bad, but it’s just the beginning. You never know how close you are to a big achievement.
AuthorsWiki : Would you like to continue in the world of writing in the future?
Haniya Khushnood : Writing has always been my favourite thing. It’s like a part of me, that’s why i could never stop writing. Because if i do so, I’ll feel like I lost a part of me.
