At AuthorsWiki, we are privileged to have had the opportunity to connect with Janae, a Author from Georgia, USA, whose unique voice and creative spirit shine through in their latest work, Deconstructing Eden: The Awakening. Their book, already making waves across leading platforms, invites readers into a world shaped by imagination, experience, and purpose.
In this conversation, the author opens up about the deeper motivations behind their storytelling, their personal and literary journey, and the lessons they’ve learned along the way. Whether you’re a fan of thoughtful writing or someone looking to understand the creative process, this interview promises valuable insight and inspiration.
AuthorsWiki : Apart from writing, what is your occupation for livelihood?
Janaec : I deliver contacts and eyeglasses at night. It’s not exactly a dream job, and honestly, I don’t love it. But it keeps the lights on and allows me to keep writing. Sometimes the job you tolerate funds the passion you truly care about — and for me, that passion is storytelling.
AuthorsWiki : Tell us something about your first book.
Janaec : I sat on my first book for years. I kept doubting whether it was good enough or ready enough. What finally pushed me to publish it was the thought of never putting it out at all. The idea of regret scared me more than criticism. So I decided to take the risk and share it with the world.
AuthorsWiki : Would you like to tell us about your published books?
Janaec : I have several series out, and yes — I plan to finish them. I’m just waiting for readers to ask for more. When people request the next book, it motivates me to return to those worlds and continue the stories. Knowing someone is invested in the characters makes all the difference.
AuthorsWiki : Where did you get the inspiration for publishing books?
Janaec : Jackie Collins. She made bold storytelling look effortless and powerful. Her books made me want to raise my standards and become a better writer. She showed me that stories can be daring, dramatic, and unforgettable.
AuthorsWiki : How do you manage your time to write a book?
Janaec : I can only write in the early morning when I first wake up. That’s when my mind is fresh and full of energy. I feel focused and driven before the world gets loud. If I don’t write in the morning, chances are I won’t write at all that day.
AuthorsWiki : What is your favorite writing method — the one in which you write the most?
Janaec : I like to plan out my books ahead of time. I need to know where I’m going before I start. Even if the story shifts later, having a clear direction keeps me grounded and helps me avoid getting lost halfway through.
AuthorsWiki : When did you start writing, and how did your interest in writing begin?
Janaec : I started seriously writing in 2020, but I’ve always written something my entire life. I wrote my first “book” in elementary school — it even had a big “The End” written at the bottom. That early excitement about storytelling never left me.
AuthorsWiki : Is there any special achievement in your life that you would like to share with us and your readers?
Janaec : The best days of my life were when my children were born. I celebrate those days every year because they changed everything for me. My children are my greatest achievement and my greatest motivation.
AuthorsWiki : Are you planning to write or publish a book in the present or future?
Janaec : Yes. I’m currently working on book two of Deconstructing Eden: The Awakening. I’ve also written book two of Blood and Wealth. The stories aren’t finished yet — there’s more to tell.
AuthorsWiki : Would you like to give a message to your readers and fans?
Janaec : Welcome. I’ve been waiting for you forever. Every reader who finds my work feels like someone I hoped would show up one day.
AuthorsWiki : Every writer has their own ideal. Do you also have an ideal writer? And what are your favorite books that you always want to read?
Janaec : Jackie Collins is my all-time favorite writer. I was crushed when she passed away. Chances and Lucky are my favorite books, and I can reread them anytime. They remind me why I love bold, unapologetic storytelling.
AuthorsWiki : Apart from writing, what are your other hobbies that you enjoy in your free time?
Janaec : Honestly, writing is the only thing I really do for fun. Maybe that makes me boring, but I genuinely enjoy creating stories more than anything else.
AuthorsWiki : Would you like to remain in the writing world in the future as well?
Janaec : Yes. I want to write until I lose my marbles. Storytelling feels like something I’ll carry with me for the rest of my life.
