AuthorsWiki : When did you first realize you wanted to be a writer?

Prabin Jha : I realized I wanted to be a writer after spending years as a Management Accountant and CFO. During this time, I faced the challenge of translating complex financial concepts for non-finance managers. Over the years, I developed the ability to bridge this gap, and I decided to write this book to make financial concepts more accessible. My goal was to help improve communication between finance and non-finance professionals and make these concepts clearer for everyone involved. This desire to help others understand led me to pursue writing.

AuthorsWiki : Would you like to tell about your published books, so that readers can know more about your books?

Prabin Jha : With over 22 years of experience in the corporate sector, having served as a Management Accountant, CFO, and on the Board of Directors, I’ve had the privilege of gaining a deep, practical understanding of the financial and governance landscape. Drawing from this extensive experience, I have authored two books that reflect my insights and expertise:

These works are designed to demystify complex concepts and provide practical knowledge that empowers professionals at every level.

In addition, I’m excited to announce that my third book, “Think Like a CFO: Shift From Accounting to Accountability,” is currently under publication. This book is set to transform the way non-financial professionals approach decision-making and leadership, offering a fresh perspective on how to think strategically about finance and accountability.

My books aim to bridge the gap between theory and practice, equipping readers with the tools and mindset needed to thrive in today’s dynamic business environment.

AuthorsWiki : How did you become inspired to publish the book or someone inspired you?

Prabin Jha : My inspiration to publish these books came from over 22 years of experience in the corporate world, where I saw a significant gap in understanding finance and corporate governance, especially among non-financial managers. In my roles as CFO and board member, I frequently simplified complex concepts to help others make more informed decisions, and I realized how valuable this knowledge could be to a wider audience. The professionals I worked with, who often expressed a need for accessible resources, further motivated me to share these insights. Writing these books became my way of empowering others, breaking down complex topics, and offering practical guidance that anyone could apply in their professional journey

AuthorsWiki : Would you like to share your experience from writing to publishing process with the our readers?

Prabin Jha : The journey from writing to publishing was both challenging and rewarding. It started with identifying a gap in accessible resources on corporate governance and finance for non-financial professionals. Drawing on my personal experiences, I meticulously crafted content that was both informative and easy to understand, with practical applications for real-world scenarios. The writing process required discipline, and editing was essential to ensure clarity and relevance. The publishing journey taught me invaluable lessons, from selecting chapters and reviewing edits to partnering with a reputable publisher, thanks to Prachi Publication. While the process was time-consuming, holding the final book in my hands made every effort worthwhile. Ultimately, it was a fulfilling experience, transforming years of practical knowledge into a resource that could empower others.

AuthorsWiki : What has been the toughest criticism you have received as an author? What has been the best compliment?

Prabin Jha : The toughest criticism I’ve received as an author was regarding the balance between depth and simplicity. Some readers felt that certain sections of my books could have been more detailed, while others appreciated the straightforward approach. Striking the right balance between offering enough technical insight without overwhelming the audience was a challenge, and this feedback pushed me to refine my writing even further to ensure accessibility while maintaining substance.

On the other hand, the best compliment I’ve received was when readers shared how my books had helped them understand complex concepts in finance and governance, allowing them to make better decisions in their careers. Knowing that my work had a tangible, positive impact on their professional growth was incredibly rewarding and reaffirmed why I wrote in the first place—to empower others with practical, real-world knowledge.

AuthorsWiki : What have you found to be most challenging about writing?

Prabin Jha : The most challenging aspect of writing has been finding the right balance between providing depth and maintaining clarity. As an author with extensive experience in finance and corporate governance, there’s often a temptation to dive deep into technical details. However, I’ve found that simplifying complex concepts without losing their core meaning is not always easy. Striking the right tone and ensuring the material is both informative and accessible to a broad audience has been an ongoing challenge. Additionally, the discipline required to stay consistent with writing, especially when juggling other responsibilities, is something I’ve had to continuously work on. But in the end, overcoming these challenges has made the process incredibly rewarding.

AuthorsWiki : Who among your friends or family or others gave you the most support during the writing of the book?

Prabin Jha : The most support I received during the writing of my book came from my family. My father, a great scholar, inspired me with his wisdom and passion for learning. My mother’s unwavering belief in me and my wife’s patience and encouragement allowed me to stay focused and dedicate the time needed to complete the book. Their support was invaluable throughout the entire process.

AuthorsWiki : What’s the most surprising thing you learned while writing your books?

Prabin Jha : The most surprising thing I learned while writing my books was how much I discovered about myself in the process. As I organized and explained complex concepts, I gained a deeper understanding of my own experiences and how they shaped my perspective. Writing forced me to distill years of knowledge into clear, accessible ideas, which not only clarified my own thinking but also made me appreciate the value of simplicity in communication. It was a humbling experience to realize how much more I could learn from reflecting on my journey and translating that into something others could benefit from

AuthorsWiki : In which genre do you do the most writing? And is it easy to write in this genre?

Prabin Jha : I primarily write in the genre of business and professional development, focusing on corporate governance, finance, and management. Writing in this genre comes naturally to me, as it aligns closely with my extensive experience in the corporate world. However, while the content feels familiar, making complex concepts accessible to a broad audience can be challenging. It requires a careful balance of depth and simplicity to ensure that the information is both comprehensive and easy to understand. So, while the subject matter is familiar, presenting it in a way that resonates with non-experts adds a layer of complexity to the writing process.

AuthorsWiki : What is the most difficult part of writing a book?

Prabin Jha : The most difficult part of writing a book is often the process of organizing and structuring the content. Taking a vast amount of knowledge and experience and distilling it into a clear, logical flow that will engage readers is challenging. It requires not just a deep understanding of the subject but also the ability to break down complex ideas into digestible pieces. Additionally, maintaining consistency in tone and ensuring that the material is accessible while remaining informative can be tough. The writing process also demands discipline and time management, especially when balancing other professional responsibilities.

AuthorsWiki : How long does it take you to write a book?

Prabin Jha : The time it takes me to write a book varies depending on the complexity of the topic and the amount of research required. On average, it takes me about 6 to 12 months to complete a book from initial concept to the final draft. This includes outlining, writing, revising, and editing. However, the process can extend longer, especially if I’m juggling other professional responsibilities or refining specific sections to ensure clarity and accuracy. Ultimately, the time frame depends on the depth of the subject and how much effort is needed to make the content both insightful and accessible to readers.

AuthorsWiki : What is a special achievement or memorable event in your life that you would like to share with our readers?

Prabin Jha : One of the most memorable achievements in my life was the moment I saw my first book published. It was not just the culmination of months of hard work but also a reflection of my journey in the corporate world and the knowledge I had accumulated over the years. Holding the first copy in my hands felt like a milestone—not just for me, but for everyone who supported me along the way, particularly my family. That moment reinforced my belief in the power of sharing knowledge and the impact it can have on others. It was an incredibly rewarding experience to see something I created help professionals grow and make informed decisions in their careers.

AuthorsWiki : Every writer has his own ideal, do you also have an ideal writer? And your favorite books that you always love to read?

Prabin Jha : Yes, my ideal writer is Peter Drucker, whose works on management and leadership have greatly influenced my thinking. I admire his ability to simplify complex ideas and provide practical advice. As for my favorite books, I love reading “The Effective Executive” by Drucker, “Good to Great” by Jim Collins, and “The Lean Startup” by Eric Ries. These books continue to inspire and offer valuable lessons in both business and life.

AuthorsWiki : Apart from being a writer, what other hobbies do you enjoy doing in your spare time?

Prabin Jha : Apart from writing, I enjoy reading, which allows me to continuously learn and explore new ideas. I also have a passion for traveling, as it gives me a chance to experience different cultures and broaden my perspective. In my spare time, I like to stay active with sports and fitness, which helps me maintain balance and focus. Additionally, I enjoy spending quality time with my family, as it’s essential for recharging and staying grounded.

AuthorsWiki : Are you planning to write or publish any book in future? If yes! So would you like to tell on which topic or genre the next book will be based?

Prabin Jha : Yes, as mentioned above, my next book, “Think Like a CFO: Shift From Accounting to Accountability,” is currently under publication. This book aims to help professionals and aspiring CFOs transition from traditional accounting practices to a broader, more strategic approach focused on accountability, financial leadership, and decision-making. It will provide valuable insights into how to think beyond the numbers, manage financial risks, and drive business success. Whether you’re a current or future leader, this book is designed to equip you with the mindset and tools necessary to navigate the complex financial landscape and make impactful decisions.

AuthorsWiki : What important advice would you give a first-time author?

Prabin Jha : For a first-time author, my most important advice would be to stay disciplined and patient throughout the process. Writing a book takes time, and it’s easy to get discouraged during the journey, especially when faced with challenges. Set realistic goals, create a consistent writing schedule, and don’t be afraid to revise and improve your work along the way. Also, don’t hesitate to seek feedback from trusted peers or mentors.

AuthorsWiki : Would you like to continue in the world of writing in the future?

Prabin Jha : Yes, absolutely! I plan to continue writing in the future. Writing has been an incredibly rewarding experience, and it allows me to share my knowledge and insights with others. I’m passionate about creating resources that help professionals grow and navigate their careers more effectively. In the future, I hope to explore more topics within business, leadership, and personal development, continuing to provide practical advice that can make a real difference in people’s lives. Writing is a journey, and I’m excited to see where it takes me next!

AuthorsWiki : This is the last question, what message do you want to give to your dear well wishers, readers and fans?

Prabin Jha : To my dear well-wishers, readers, and fans, I want to express my heartfelt gratitude for your continued support and encouragement. Your belief in my work motivates me to keep pushing forward, to share more insights, and to keep learning and growing alongside you. Remember, the journey of growth is ongoing, and every step you take toward knowledge and improvement counts. I hope my books provide you with valuable tools to navigate your professional and personal life, and I look forward to continuing this journey with all of you.
