AuthorsWiki : Do you briefly introduce yourself in your own words?
Elaine Broun : My name is Kimberly Blaine and I write under my Author Pen name of Elaine Broun. I was born and raised in South America, I speak several languages, I love to read, write, travel and have an insatiable curiosity about people, their families, life and genealogy.
AuthorsWiki : Apart from writing, what is your occupation for livelihood?
Elaine Broun : I am PEIMS Registrar for a School District.
AuthorsWiki : Tell us something about the your first book?
Elaine Broun : It is a Suspense Thriller based on a True Story. Initially the family was advised to remain silent and never to speak or divulge who they were for the sake of their continued security as they would always remain a sought after target. Hence the reason the book was written under a Pen name and all the names in the book were changed. Now I am finally able to divulge that this horror story was my very own childhood nightmare.
AuthorsWiki : Would you like to tell us about your published books?
Elaine Broun : I have a second one “Let Me Go” that is in the editing phase as we speak and will soon be release on Amazon. This story is about friends that met at school with the central characters of Isabella and Kane and their relationship as it evolves through life. Two of them eventually marry and then this is when the fissure in the emotional stability of one of the characters begins to present itself. This suspense thriller is filled with multiple storylines, fractured dysfunctional parents and love interests that bring hope. It is a kaleidoscope of storylines. Who is trying to leave? Why would they want to go?
AuthorsWiki : Where did you get inspiration for book publishing?
Elaine Broun : I have an Author friend that gave me some saavy advice about being an Indie Author as she published the regular way and now is an Indie Author and would never do it any other way. Two of the main reasons are, you retain control of your book and the funds you earn. But inspiration is plain, I always knew I loved to write. I just am however a very driven personality, so I knew it would need to wait until my children were grown as they were my first priority. Now that they are grown, my passion is mine to go wild with.
AuthorsWiki : How do you manage time to write a book?
Elaine Broun : All my spare time is mine now that my children are grown. Now it is easy.
AuthorsWiki : What is your favorite writing method, in which you do the most writing?
Elaine Broun : Lapdesk, laptop and recliner.
AuthorsWiki : When did you start writing and how did your interest in writing begin?
Elaine Broun : I began writing as a school girl and have never stopped since. I was always an avid reader so I was enthralled with books that emersed you into different time periods and that were extremely discriptive in a way that you could completely visualize every detail. This is the way I like to write.
AuthorsWiki : Special achievement in your life, which you would like to share with us and your readers too?
Elaine Broun : I was recently nominated for Women of Inspiration which is an honor.
AuthorsWiki : Are you planning to write or publish a book in the present or future?
Elaine Broun : As I mentioned earlier, my second suspense thriller “Let Me Go” should be coming out soon. It is with the editors at the moment. So probably within the month.
AuthorsWiki : Want to give a message to your readers and fans?
Elaine Broun : Love what you do and it will never be work. If you love to write I encourage you to keep a notebook of story ideas, you never know when one might be used!
AuthorsWiki : Every writer has his own Ideal, do you also have an Ideal writer? And your favorite books that you will always want to read?
Elaine Broun : Any author to me that goes to length using decriptive writing is what I deem the best! Those are the ones that will make you emerse and the stories that you will immediately picture what you are reading! I tend to avoid naming names of Authors for I feel it leaves out so many great ones that are unknown too.
AuthorsWiki : Apart from writing, what are your other hobbies, which you like to do in your free time?
Elaine Broun : I love to travel, love to browse through antique shops, sew crafts, read, and most of all spend time with my family.
AuthorsWiki : Would you like to remain in the writing world even in future?
Elaine Broun : Absolutely!
