At AuthorsWiki, we are privileged to have had the opportunity to connect with Mohamed Nabil, a Author from Egypt, whose unique voice and creative spirit shine through in their latest work, Philosophical Debates with AI. Their book, already making waves across leading platforms, invites readers into a world shaped by imagination, experience, and purpose.
Mohamed Nabil is a dedicated Marketing Consultant and author—a self-confessed workaholic and the best friend of his laptop. Once a highly social extrovert in what he jokingly calls his “previous life,” he now channels much of his energy into writing, strategic thinking, and shaping ideas that spark dialogue.
He writes across diverse subjects, including business, politics, philosophy, and human behavior—along with a few relevant (and occasionally irrelevant) fields that spark his curiosity.
Believing that imagination is always rooted in lived reality, Mohamed draws inspiration from his own experiences. As a bachelor from Egypt, he published his first novel, The Bachelors of Egypt, reflecting a perspective shaped by personal insight and cultural context.
In this conversation, the author opens up about the deeper motivations behind their storytelling, their personal and literary journey, and the lessons they’ve learned along the way. Whether you’re a fan of thoughtful writing or someone looking to understand the creative process, this interview promises valuable insight and inspiration.
AuthorsWiki : Apart from writing, what is your occupation for livelihood?
Mohamed Nabil : I enjoy being an author and a freelance marketing consultant at the same time, I typically get excited when working on a new project whether for a startup or an established company and I usually integrate CSR in a meaningful way; beneficial for both the company and the global society. I am proud that through my work I helped green computing gain popularity within European markets and worldwide, among other achievements. I have also received an award for my contributions to the marketing field from the Marketing Conference 2.0 in Dubai in 2022. My work as a freelance marketing consultant helped me gain exposure to various cultures across the world, which helped enrich my writings.
AuthorsWiki : Tell us something about your first book.
Mohamed Nabil : My first book is titled “The Bachelors of Egypt”, you may consider it a piece of contemporary fiction or historical fiction as the novel is set in Egypt 2011-2012 during a brief era of enlightenment, when people in Egypt had a desire “to know” driven by a temporary belief that their opinions may help shape the future. The novel is often described as character-driven as you discover more about each character as you read through the book or dialogue-driven as it includes rich conversations on multiple contemporary issues with a universally relatable theme that resonates with readers across cultures. I recently posted on social media that the novel is trending as a Google search topic in 231 out of the 251 main regions displayed by Google Trends and I documented that searchability with screenshots in a LinkedIn article. This is exactly the kind of global exposure I have been seeking and it definitely encouraged me to publish my latest novel, a political thriller titled Global Justice.
AuthorsWiki : Would you like to tell us about your published books?
Mohamed Nabil : The first book is a novel titled The Bachelors of Egypt, it has a local setting yet it tackles universally relevant existential questions overtly through the conversations and implicitly through the plot.
The second book is titled Enlightened Populism: Reflections on the News Cycle of a Pandemic. Enlightened Populism is presented as a healthy alternative to the two dominant behavioral patterns of communication in today’s world, “Blind Elitism” which involves following an “elite” or an “expert” blindly without investigating the rationale on which they have based their views, and “Ignorant Populism” which involves relying on feelings or populist trends to form an opinion without investigating the relevant information. The book highlights the practice of “Enlightened Populism” through my comments on news posts on Facebook and a selection from the replies that followed.
The third book is titled My Interview with ChatGPT, it starts with questions asked by ChatGPT that tackle my articles, essays and books. I respond to these questions then I ask ChatGPT about its current status and future as an AI tool, and I pass back some of the questions it asked me about my writings; allowing readers to compare between our answers to the same questions.
The fourth book is a novel titled Global Justice, it is a political thriller that involves a fictional global movement called Global Justice that forms a political party in the UK. The movement has the short-term goal of abolishing the monarchy in the UK and the long-term goal of uniting the planet under a single government.
The first three books have elements of documentation; The Bachelors of Egypt includes a documentation for real life incidents that occurred when Egypt was under explicit military rule in 2011-2012 and that is why it is described as 90% fictional and 10% factual. Enlightened Populism: Reflections on the News Cycle of a Pandemic includes a documentation for the news’ headlines during the COVID-19 pandemic. My Interview with ChatGPT is helpful in documenting the current status of publicly available AI tools, precisely the most popular among them, ChatGPT.
In contrast, the fourth book, the Global Justice novel is a “what-if” exploration of the current world… what if a global movement like global justice exists and attempts to achieve its declared goals and how will members of the global population and the currently established regimes react.
AuthorsWiki : Where did you get the inspiration for publishing books?
Mohamed Nabil : As far as I remember, I have always had the goal of publishing my own books, I believe in books’ power to shape public discourse over time, their ability to last and flourish in the future and their obvious value as vehicles that carry an author’s opinions, attitudes and beliefs and delivers them to multiple generations. My end goal is to offer ideas that can outlive my own existence and help make the world a better place.
AuthorsWiki : How do you manage your time to write a book?
Mohamed Nabil : As I mentioned I am also a freelance marketing consultant, so I rarely have the time to write books. I published The Bachelors of Egypt in June 2017, Enlightened Populism: Reflections on the News Cycle of a Pandemic in June 2021 and My Interview with ChatGPT in August 2025. You can notice that it takes me roughly 4 years to publish a new book, with the only exception being the new novel Global Justice which was published in January 2026. The idea sparked in my head and it quickly became a pressing matter that I had to make time for.
AuthorsWiki : What is your favorite writing method — the one in which you write the most?
Mohamed Nabil : I know that most people read for entertainment, so I treat all of my writings as entertainment products that carry the weight of the profound ideas expressed in them. Before writing anything I ask myself, who would be interested in reading that? Why? and what value can I deliver while keeping the readers engaged? If someone feels bored while reading one of my books, articles or essays, they’ll probably stop reading and none of the intended messages would be delivered.
AuthorsWiki : When did you start writing, and how did your interest in writing begin?
Mohamed Nabil : I have always been interested in writing. I started writing professionally back in 2009 for a publication called perspective magazine, at the time I was an editor and a columnist for this magazine when I was still studying mass communication, major advertising and public relations.
AuthorsWiki : Is there any special achievement in your life that you would like to share with us and your readers?
Mohamed Nabil : I already mentioned achievements like helping spread green computing around the world, gaining recognition through an award presented to me for my contributions to the marketing field, and that my first novel, The Bachelors of Egypt is trending in 231 out of the 251 main regions covered by Google Trends.
I would like to add the enormous global media coverage that our movement “harass the harassers” gained since its launch in 2012.
We used to recruit volunteers online and head to the streets of downtown Cairo during Eid festivals, capture anyone committing sexual harassment and use a spray to write on their backs “I am a harasser” in Arabic. This initiative led to the confrontation of sexual harassers, letting them pay for their mistakes through public-shaming, and helped revive the notion that members of the community should react whenever they witness sexual harassment.
AuthorsWiki : Are you planning to write or publish a book in the present or future?
Mohamed Nabil : Yes, I am planning to publish new books, I have many ideas in mind spanning between fiction and non-fiction. The more I write, the more my thoughts create controversies and the more I feel like the world is ready to receive new titles of mine.
AuthorsWiki : Would you like to give a message to your readers and fans?
Mohamed Nabil : The Bachelors of Egypt belongs to the categories of contemporary novels and historical fiction. Enlightened Populism: Reflections on the News Cycle of a Pandemic is a piece of non-fiction political philosophy. My Interview with ChatGPT is sociological, political, and focuses on technology, while Global Justice is a political thriller. So, each book has its own group of readers and I should address each separately.
For readers of The Bachelors of Egypt, thank you for giving a book with a local setting a chance to prove that universal themes exist among citizens of the world in a relatable manner.
For readers of Enlightened Populism: Reflections on the News Cycle of a Pandemic, thank you for taking the time to read the book; I know it is lengthy.
For readers of My Interview with ChatGPT: I hope you found value through the exploration of reflections on my own writings and the profound questions and answers provided by the AI tool.
For readers of Global Justice: I hope you ask for a sequel.
AuthorsWiki : Every writer has their own ideal. Do you also have an ideal writer? And what are your favorite books that you always want to read?
Mohamed Nabil : I don’t have an ideal writer in mind, and I generally don’t believe in adopting a role model. We are all human beings, with our own unique set of qualities and flaws. My favorite books include the Dialogues of Plato and Beyond Good and Evil.
AuthorsWiki : Apart from writing, what are your other hobbies that you enjoy in your free time?
Mohamed Nabil : I enjoy reading books while listening to music and drinking coffee. I like to walk, jog, swim, play football with friends or hangout with them, play cards (without gambling), and travel. I hope I will be able to travel to various destinations around the world in the future and explore them individually.
AuthorsWiki : Would you like to remain in the writing world in the future as well?
Mohamed Nabil : I would like to remain in the writing world in the future, I would like to come back for an interview here years later after I have published more books, so I can discuss their themes with your readers.
