Their book, already making waves across leading platforms, invites readers into a world shaped by imagination, experience, and purpose.

Gigi Nally lives in Greenville, South Carolina, with her husband, two dogs, and three cats. Gigi graduated with a B.A. in Communication Studies from Furman University.

In this conversation, the author opens up about the deeper motivations behind their storytelling, their personal and literary journey, and the lessons they’ve learned along the way. Whether you’re a fan of thoughtful writing or someone looking to understand the creative process, this interview promises valuable insight and inspiration.

AuthorsWiki : Apart from writing, what is your occupation for livelihood?

Gigi Nally : I am a full-time creative marketing professional, where I work with ideas, narratives, and brand identities. Alongside this, I teach yoga, which nurtures discipline, clarity, and inner balance—qualities that also influence my writing.

AuthorsWiki : Tell us something about your first book.

Gigi Nally : My first book, The Split, comes out on March 3, 2026, and I could not be more excited. It is a post-apocalyptic romance and adventure novel. Here’s the gist!

Kota is a scrappy 21-year-old who would do anything to keep her family safe—including the dangerous job of running goods across zombie-infested South Carolina. But when she’s kidnapped in a crumbling truce between two hostile settlements, she quickly finds herself as a political pawn in a brewing war that threatens the future of humanity itself.

A single wall divides Kota’s seemingly prosperous community from the anarchists on the other side. But when Jasper—Kota’s cunning and dangerously alluring captor—unearths shocking truths about her home, it will throw everything she believes into question…

She expected Jasper to kill her. But now their fates are intertwined.

Forced to team up with the enemy settlement, Kota plunges into a shadowy world of secrets, subterfuge, and political machinations—all while fighting her growing attraction to Jasper. As tensions spiral toward war, Kota must decide where she stands.

AuthorsWiki : Would you like to tell us about your published books?

Gigi Nally : This is currently my first published work, and I look forward to sharing more books in the future.

AuthorsWiki : Where did you get the inspiration for publishing books?

Gigi Nally : I’ll talk a bit about the inspiration behind my debut novel. I was a massive Walking Dead fan back in the day, but I found that a female perspective was missing. I wanted to see a young, strong woman represented in post-apocalyptic fiction, and to discover what her POV would be like. What kind of things did she struggle with? How would her story evolve? And from there, The Split came to life!

AuthorsWiki : How do you manage your time to write a book?

Gigi Nally : I do my best to find pockets of time daily. I write for about half an hour before my work day, and about once a week, my writing friends join me in an hour-long session after work. Then, I try to write for an hour a day on Saturdays and Sundays. I’m not perfect, so I’m not able to squeeze in a session every day, but I stay consistent. I believe consistency is key to success.

AuthorsWiki : What is your favorite writing method — the one in which you write the most?

Gigi Nally : I’m a laptop girly. I jot down notes, ideas, and brainstorms in my journal, but I find that my thoughts move quite quickly and only my typing fingers can keep up!

AuthorsWiki : When did you start writing, and how did your interest in writing begin?

Gigi Nally : The first story I ever wrote was about my brother becoming a Jedi. I was a wee child (maybe five or six?!), and have always been a Star Wars fan. I still have the journal somewhere in my memory box. Since then, I’ve written a bunch of books and stories, and I’ll never ever stop!

AuthorsWiki : Is there any special achievement in your life that you would like to share with us and your readers?

Gigi Nally : Publishing my first book exactly one month before turning 30 is one of my greatest achievements!

AuthorsWiki : Are you planning to write or publish a book in the present or future?

Gigi Nally : Yes! My debut book comes out on March 3rd, 2026, and I plan on publishing the sequel soon as well… 🙂

AuthorsWiki : Would you like to give a message to your readers and fans?

Gigi Nally : Thank you for supporting my dream!

AuthorsWiki : Every writer has their own ideal. Do you also have an ideal writer? And what are your favorite books that you always want to read?

Gigi Nally : I am inspired by a litany of authors, though this list is quite an eccentric collection! Emily Henry, Richelle Mead, Rachel Harrison, Brynne Weaver, and Cassandra Clare are some writers I find incredibly inspiring.

AuthorsWiki : Apart from writing, what are your other hobbies that you enjoy in your free time?

Gigi Nally : I love teaching and taking yoga (vinyasa!), baking vegan treats, and spending time with my husband.

AuthorsWiki : Would you like to remain in the writing world in the future as well?

Gigi Nally : Wholeheartedly, YES!
