An author who has published books with a valid ISBN (International Standard Book Number) can apply for a verified profile. While it’s important to note that, currently, we are not providing verification badges to all authors, we highly value the authenticity of every writer. A verification badge is granted only after confirming specific details about your author identity. This badge indicates that you’ve successfully verified key information about your author identity, helping to establish trust and credibility with your audience.
Can an author whose book has been published get a Verified Author badge?
Currently we are not providing verified badge to all the authors. It is important to note that just having published the author’s book is not enough to be eligible for the verified badge. Our team investigates the author’s published book as well as their profile. If our team finds the author eligible to get the verified badge after checking the profile or book, then only the verified badge is provided to the author, for which the prescribed fee is required to be paid by the author.
How do I know if I am verified?
Upon successful verification, a blue or golden verified icon will appear next to your name on your profile page. Additionally, you will receive an email notification from us regarding the status of your application once it has been processed, regardless of whether it has been approved or denied. Along with this, you will also receive a digital certificate of verified author authenticity on your email. Whereas, if you are a premium author then you will receive a printed framed certificate through courier. The facility of delivering printed framed certificate through courier is currently available only in India.
Can a verified badge be automatically removed from an profile?
We reserve the right to remove verification from an profile if the profile is found to not belong to the actual author of the book(s) mentioned on their profile, or if the author breaks our terms of service.
Can I request to remove my verified badge?
Yes, of course! You can request to have your verified badge removed by contacting us.
How can I get the framed 'Premium Author Certificate'?
As part of the Premium Membership, authors will receive a beautifully framed ‘Premium Author Certificate,’ which is shipped directly to them via courier by AuthorsWiki. The delivery is fully covered by us, and no extra payment is required for shipping or handling.
How long will it take for my name to appear in the search engine?
There is no specific or guaranteed timeframe for when your name or profile will begin to appear in search engine results such as Google, Bing, or Yahoo. Search engines use automated systems, often called bots or crawlers that scan, index, and rank web content based on their own algorithms and schedules.
